| The first not-the-opening ceremonies consisted of a radio skit using a
Pratchett-approved script and him playing Death (rather well). The very
few who attended loved it. The weather was deep-freeze cold which made
swimming outside in the heated pool all the more fun. Capricon grew a
Green Room this year, a well-used place of R&R for the hard-worked program
participants. People groaned about the distances between rooms and events
and smoky conditions in some places, but if you made it to the first Capricon
presentation of the Xenoarchaeologists' Road Show, almost all was forgiven in
the gales of laughter from the packed room. |
